But if you have a client who is intent on gracing the stage for a bodybuilding competition; well, you're in for a whole different caliber of goal setting – especially if they're operating in the 9 to 5 grind of corporate America. Transforming your body takes time, energy, focus, and most importantly balance. However, balance when working a full-time job is proving to be more and more difficult. According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), "Americans work 137 more hours per year than Japanese workers, 260 more hours per year than British workers, and 499 more hours per year than French workers." I know from experience how tough it is to work in corporate America while balancing competition prep (which can include training twice a day and several appointments with various coaches), meal prep, working anywhere from 45-65 hours per week, taking care of a puppy, and maintaining the relationships you have with family, friends, and a significant other. It is no easy task. But here is how you can help a client who is not only considering or is already prepping for a bodybuilding competition, but also invested in their career.
