By Ellen Thompson Retro Fitness is about to get a jolt of strategic innova- tion; as former Starbucks executive Mike Rogers has been named the company's first chief operations officer. "We're thrilled to add another tremendously talented individual to our team that is passionate about moving our brand forward," Retro Fitness CEO Eric Casaburi noted in a recent release. "Retro Fitness is poised for growth and innovation. Mike Rogers is a strategic hire that will ensure we are producing real results. I know he will impact our future story immensely." That impact will likely include realigning Retro Fit- ness' resources and assets, enhancing business growth efforts, and encouraging long-term stability; as Rogers oversees company operations "Rogers is an expert at building customer and share- holding value through assembling world-class teams in both corporate and franchise consultant models," the release said. Holding several positions with Starbucks over a period of 20 years, Rogers, who has a bachelor's degree in Ho- tel Restaurant Management from Purdue University, is tasked with growing the now more than 150 clubs across 16 states to 250 by 2019.
